Senior Technical Project Manager (Video)

Reporting Line Manager: Director of Projects

 

An exciting new opportunity to be part of our technical team at Blue Elephant. The primary function of this role is to provide skilled specialist video support to our existing technical team as we continue to grow. Our events vary hugely from museum and exhibition work to summer festivals and corporate award shows. We are looking for someone to join the team who is willing to get stuck in and is extremely experienced in the role already; an individual who can bring their expertise on board to offer solutions to challenging projects.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Conduct day-to-day project coordination, planning, and implementation across the technical team

  • Working with clients, generating ideas and designs to meet their objectives and developing and implementing them from concept through to completion.

  • Design & implementation of technical systems for live events and temporary and permanent installs

  • Ability to develop complex video solutions for a wide range of live and hybrid events

  • Pre-production including plans, technical paperwork, crew booking and equipment sourcing

  • On-site management of crew and logistics

Skills and Qualities Required:

 

  • UK Driving License

  • Minimum of five years previous experience in a similar role or as a freelancer

  • Willingness to travel (including UK and abroad) for events if required

  • Willingness to work outside of usual working hours at events if required

Junior Technician

An exciting new opportunity to be part of our close-knit team at Blue Elephant. This role would suit someone who is just starting out in the industry and who knows the basics but would now love the stepping stone to get into the professional industry. It is a fantastic opportunity to join a great team of people that will support your development to becoming an event technician. Our events vary from exhibition and museum work to fun summer festivals and corporate award shows.

 

We are looking for someone with dedication and the willingness to get stuck in and learn across multiple disciplines and be a team player, offering to help out on anything no matter how big or small.

Hiredesk & Inventory Manager

Reporting Line Manager: Director of Projects

An exciting new opportunity to be part of our team as Hiredesk and Inventory Manager at Blue Elephant. The primary function of this role is to provide support to our existing team as we continue to grow, taking overall responsibility for the upkeep of our inventory and also managing dry hires.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities

 

•    Deal with all incoming hire enquiries. Work closely with Account Handlers and Technical Project Managers to manage and resolve stock shortages in a cost-effective way.
•    Manage and develop our relationships with new and existing dry hire clients
•    Take responsibility for the complete upkeep of the rental management system. This includes inputting all new products and managing rental prices
•    Ensure that the inventory is up to date and new products are added to the system
•    Take overall responsibility for the warehouse prep procedures and ensuring the quality of equipment prepped by the warehouse
•    Ensure that all testing requirements are met, including up to date PAT and LOLER certificates by the warehouse
•    Ensuring that the company stays at the forefront of new technology, including researching potential new investments as well as managing product demos.

 

 

Skills and Qualities Required:

 

  • UK Driving License

  • Previous knowledge of the events industry and AV equipment

  • This role is primarily office based in Godstone, Surrey.
